Received a NiaHealth gift card? Redeeming is easy

The Starter Plan

If you received the Starter Plan as a gift, you’ll find your Gift Code on the digital receipt or the physical NiaHealth card. Once you have the code, follow these steps to redeem your plan:

1. Create an account at app.niahealth.co.
2. Verify your email address (be sure to check your spam folder).
3. Click “Select a Plan” and choose “Redeem a Gift.”
4. Enter the Gift Code from your digital message or physical NiaHealth card.
5. Enter your personal details to complete registration.
6. Complete your health profile (this takes about 15–20 minutes). All information is personally reviewed by our clinical team when preparing your dashboard.
7. Your dashboard will then provide all further testing instructions.

Gift Card

If you received a NiaHealth Gift Card, you’ll find your Gift Card Code on the physical or digital card. Once you have your code, follow these steps to redeem your credits:

1. Create an account at app.niahealth.co.
2. Verify your email address (check your spam folder if you don’t see the message).
3. Click “Select a Plan” and choose “Select Annual Membership.”
4. Enter your Gift Card Code in the early access code field to unlock the plans and build your personalized NiaHealth annual membership.

Please note: we’ll then manually add any remaining credits to your NiaHealth dashboard after you select your plan.

Does the gift card expire?

If the gift card value is higher, the remaining balance will be added as credits to your account after you sign up for a plan.

If I buy someone the Starter Plan gift card, can they upgrade to a different plan or add more tests?

Are there any restrictions on what my gift card can be used for?

Are NiaHealth services covered by my insurance plan?

NiaHealth’s services are not covered under public/government health insurance plans in Canada. However, our service is an HSA-eligible expense (in addition to CRA-eligible medical expense), but it is recommended that you check with your insurer first. You should review the terms of your private health insurance plan or consult with your insurance plan provider to determine if NiaHealth’s service is eligible for reimbursement under your private health insurance plan or any other supplemental benefits.

Are NiaHealth services HSA-eligible & CRA-eligible medical expenses?

Yes - our service is HSA-eligible and CRA-eligible medical expenses, but it is recommended that you check with your individual insurer if our services can be covered under any of your other supplemental benefits.

Where is NiaHealth available?

NiaHealth currently operates in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.

Are my results going to be shared with my insurance company?

No - we take data privacy and security very seriously. Your results are for your eyes only and will be handled in keeping with our privacy policy.

How is NiaHealth different than my regular family doctor / primary care provider?

Which biomarkers are covered in the blood test?

Our Essential offering includes the top 40+ biomarkers related to your health and longevity, whereas our Plus and Plus Family offerings include a comprehensive panel of 60 biomarkers. These biomarkers provide insights into your cardiovascular health, liver function, kidney function, blood glucose levels, and various essential vitamins and minerals. Hormonal biomarkers are an add-on and can be selected at checkout.

Do I need a requisition to order a test?

NiaHealth provides a requisition that you will use so you don’t need to worry about this.

Does NiaHealth prescribe medications?

No - we do not prescribe medication. However, we do provide, where applicable, suggestions. For interventions (including medications and supplements), we include a note of suggestions that you can discuss with your current medical team. Prescriptions are left to their discretion.

I have an existing illness or condition. Can you help treat it?

We offer advice to enhance your current health state, emphasizing prevention through exercise, nutrition, sleep, and emotional well-being but not medical management of existing illness. If we discover any incidental health issues, we provide suggestions for discussion with your primary care provider. While our suggestions impact overall health and various chronic conditions, comprehensive medical management of existing illnesses remains the responsibility of your current medical team.

What are my options for getting a blood draw?

In Ontario and Manitoba, users can elect for an in-clinic draw. In other provinces, an at-home blood draw, which involves a mobile phlebotomist visiting your home or office, is the only collection method available ($100 additional fee). Do I need to fast?

It is required that you fast for 8-12 hours for most tests. For this reason, we recommend that you plan for a morning test. Click here for more information regarding our blood collection methods.

Can I do a NiaHealth checkup if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

NiaHealth is not recommended for individuals who are currently pregnant or have been pregnant within the last year. Pregnancy and the postpartum period cause significant changes in the body, which can affect the accuracy of biomarker-based health predictions. Regular pregnancy-specific blood work is important during and after pregnancy and should be coordinated with your maternity care provider. Please consult your doctor, nurse practitioner, midwife, or OB-GYN to discuss your blood work schedule and what it means for your health.

What is the cancellation policy for mobile blood draws?

Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled mobile blood draw will incur a $75 fee, which will be charged to your NiaHealth account.

Is my information private and secure?

Yes, NiaHealth takes exceptional care and attention to your data security. Personal health information provided during your NiaHealth experience is strictly and legally confidential. It is our duty to protect your data with comprehensive security infrastructure and stringent data policies that comply with Canadian and Provincial laws to ensure it stays private and secure. Will NiaHealth sell my data?

No, NiaHealth does not sell your personal health information to third parties. NiaHealth has not and will not engage in the sale of personal health information.

Can I delete my data?

Once you request to close your NiaHealth account, your account will be deactivated, and access to your dashboard and personal health information will be restricted. Your data will be deleted from NiaHealth’s active system.

Provincial health laws require your health record to be retained for a prescribed period, meaning that information contained in your health record cannot be deleted upon request.

Your personal health information will no longer be actively used by NiaHealth beyond what is required for legal compliance and archival purposes.
